The LSA invited the attendant care providers and key groups of allied health providers to attend three Service Provider Forums in the first quarter of the year. The forums promoted education, information sharing and collaboration with the following specific key groups:
- The Attendant Care Provider Panel
- Occupational Therapy Care Needs Assessors
- Home Modifications & Assistive Technology Assessors
All forums were held at the LSA Office with evening sessions offering the flexibility for Service Providers to attend in-person as well as online via Microsoft Teams. Across all three forums, 32 Service Providers attended including some who travelled from interstate.
The Service Provider Forums covered a range of topics including a Lifetime Support Scheme update, an introduction to LSA staff specialising in the service area and a Q&A session for Service Providers to ask any questions. The forums were a great opportunity for the LSA to receive feedback from Service Providers and strengthen relationships with these stakeholders. Reflecting on the forums, Senior Manager Primary Support, Sharon Cates said, ‘it was great to see so many Service Providers engage with us, learn more about the Scheme and share their ideas for how we can continually improve.’
