The Lifetime Support Scheme (LSS) participants are why the LSS and the Lifetime Support Authority (LSA) exist. We take a person-centred approach to focus on each LSS participant's rehabilitation journey.

The courage and determination displayed by LSS participants is inspirational. We encourage you to read about their experiences or explore the LSA's fictional case studies that have been designed to explain treatment, care and support.

About the Lifetime Support Scheme

We are a no fault Scheme that funds necessary and reasonable treatment, care and support for people who sustain serious injuries in a motor vehicle accident on South Australian (SA) roads.

Our organisation commenced on 1 July 2014 and we are funded by a levy that is paid whenever you register a motor vehicle in SA. The LSA is responsible for administering the LSS and does so in accordance with the Motor Vehicle Accidents (Lifetime Support Scheme) Act 2013 (SA) and the LSS Rules.
