Each year, the LSA undertakes a survey of participant satisfaction with the LSA and the services funded under the Lifetime Support Scheme (LSS).

In 2023, the LSA engaged a new external provider to conduct the Participant Survey, Action Market Research. As a result, for the first time, participants were invited to complete the survey online as well as by phone or pen and paper, when the survey was conducted in the last quarter of the calendar year.

Consequently, 60% of eligible LSS participants and decision makers completed the survey in 2023, compared to a response rate of 32% in 2022.

The 2023 Participant Survey results are now available. The predominant feedback was that participants are generally very happy with the support we provide. The key findings included:

  • 82% of LSS participants were satisfied with the LSA
  • 87% agreed that the LSA is making a positive difference in their lives
  • 86% of respondents were satisfied with their Service Planner

Where issues were identified it was largely in line with known issues that the LSA is already working on, primarily timeliness of service provision and consistent communication from service planners, but we will also be looking to see if there are other enhancements we may be able to make to improve our effectiveness in the future.

Thank you to the participants and/or their decision makers who responded to the survey. By generously giving their time and providing feedback regarding their experiences with the Scheme, we can continue to improve.

Happy, neutral and unhappy faces
