The funding of treatment, care and support under the Lifetime Support Scheme is governed by the LSS Rules, which is the document that guides the LSA’s decision-making regarding eligibility and treatment, care and support. The Rules are reviewed on a periodic basis to ensure they remain relevant to the needs of participants and the Scheme.
The LSA has been consulting on proposed changes to the LSS Rules. The first round of consultation for the LSS Rules ended on Friday 11 February 2022. The LSA hosted the consultation process on the YourSay website.
There were:
- 406 views of the front webpage relating to the LSS Rules consultation
- 136 views that went beyond the front webpage
- 46 people downloaded documents from the website
As with the strategic planning, the feedback has been immensely valuable and the LSA would like to thank everyone who provided feedback. The LSA has worked through the feedback and based on that, has identified further changes to the LSS Rules. As a result, the LSA has planned another round of consultation on those further changes that is expected to commence in April.
