I’m amazed to realise that I have reached my one-year anniversary since joining the LSA in October last year. The time has flown by, but I am particularly encouraged by everything that the organisation, and our staff, have achieved in that period. The underlying operational performance has exceeded budget in FY21 and the organisation has made some significant decisions regarding how we value our future participant liabilities, as indicated in our Annual Report, which will shortly be published.

I have been able to meet participants in several settings over the year, including accompanying some of our service planners during their work, attending Participant Forums and through the Participant Reference Group (PRG). These interactions have given me greater insight into the importance of our participant centred care model which is proving to be very effective!

I look forward to many more years here at the LSA and wish everyone an enjoyable holiday season as Christmas approaches.
