The objective of the annual survey is to review the satisfaction of the LSS participants and identify what, if any, changes were observable, over the course of the survey.

Key findings

In summary the key findings are:

  • 83% of respondents were either ‘very satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’ with the LSS which is an increase from 81% in 2020 and exceeds the LSA’s Strategic Plan target of 80%.
  • Across all services provided, 82% respondents were either ‘very satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’. This has increased compared to 2020, where 77% respondents reported the same.
  • In 2020 only a small proportion (25%) of participants were satisfied with resolution of issues when raised. The 2021 survey reveals some improvement in this as the proportion who are satisfied with issue resolution has increased to 43%. We will be focusing on continuing to improve this in the future.
  • The response rate to the survey decreased from 44% in 2020 to 35% in 2021, noting that this remains within acceptable limits to provide meaningful feedback.

Core learnings

Of the 10 core learnings, there were 4 placed in the most positive category of ‘celebrate and continue’:

  • The continued positive impact of the LSS – getting life back on track for participants
  • Flexible person-centred approach aligns well with participant needs
  • The majority of participants are satisfied with the LSS
  • The valuable role of service planners.

LSS Participant ratings

On review of the UniSA 2021 Report and further consideration of initiatives already underway, there may be further activities pursued. This will be considered against the upcoming strategic priorities to be confirmed for 2022–23.
