Richard sustained a traumatic brain injury, facial fractures and eye, neck, shoulder and hip injuries when he fell from a bus in June 2018. He has no recollection of the incident.

Richard was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital by ambulance and stayed there until he was transferred to Hampstead Hospital to the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit.

Richard is presently undertaking rehabilitation with the help of the LSA, including physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychology and music therapy, as well as ongoing support from his Service Planner. Richard has also had his home modified to assist him.

Richard joined The PRG so that he can provide feedback to the LSA through his own experiences with his rehabilitation.

“I am keen to be involved with new LSA initiatives to further help future or current participants on the LSS.”
