Alexa had her accident in 2018, and sustained a brain injury.

She was unconscious at the scene and put into an induced coma. Alexa then spent a number of months in the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Hampstead Hospital learning to walk and talk before she was discharged to continue her ongoing rehab and recovery at home.

The LSA supported Alexa’s recovery and her efforts to return to work, university, driving, sport, and return to how she would function in daily life prior to her brain injury.

Alexa chose to be part of the PRG as she wants to give back to the LSA.

“They have done so much for me and any way that I can help in return, I will gladly do. I also want to give my input from a brain injury point of view.”
